To deal with this, Norton has came up with the new product name Norton NU16 or Norton Utility, which is utility software suit that are outlined in such a way to help in analyzing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining the PC. The current version of Norton NU16 is for Windows XP or Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8.
Through the Norton Utility 16, the free space option allows the user to bleach the free space on the selected derives or partitions. Check out the steps as listed below to get access the free space screen-
- Select the ‘Optimize’ option in the left navigation panel.
- Click the ‘Clean your disks’ button.
- Select the ‘Free space’ tab.
- Click on the ‘Check-box’ besides ‘Bleach Free Space’ at the top of the screen.
- You need to select the drives, on which you want top bleach space from the list displayed.
- Select the option ‘Clean’.
Norton NU16 while cleaning will clean all the selected sections, which the user may have chosen under the ‘Privacy Guardian’ feature and will go for deleting all the relevant data files and data.
During bleaching process in Norton NU16(Available at Norton.com/Setup), the cleaned data delivered unrecoverable with the use of standard file recovery methods.
Please note- The function also delivers deleted data that are occupying the free drive space unrecoverable by using the standard file recovery methods. Moreover, the sections or sub-sections mark as ‘*’ can only be accessed after registering the downloaded version of Norton Utilities. Select the button ‘Save’ to save the selection for further use in the subsequent sessions.
